Grade: Bristol Grade 5 (SCP 4 – SCP 5)
Salary: £18,426 - £18,795 pro-rata
Hours: 08.30am – 3pm, Term Time Only
Date: From 27 January 2020 or as soon as possible after this date for a period of nine months. (Maternity Cover)
The successful applicant will be joining a small friendly team based at our provision at Rush Hill in Bath. There is a small car park on site.
You will provide administrative and reception support to Lansdown Park Academy Rush Hill, welcoming visitors and ensuring safeguarding policies are adhered to and provide administration support to the Deputy Head of Lansdown Park Academy based at Rush Hill. Effectively deal with routine enquires and requests from staff, visitors and young people referring matters to relevant staff or taking messages as required. Efficiently monitor telephone messages and forward these to the relevant staff. Manage daily registers and absence reports. Maintain the filing system for prompt retrieval of information. Update spreadsheets and databases and other applications to ensure all systems are kept up to date. Assist in collating information as required to produce reports. Deal sensitively with child protection matters.

The role is varied and demanding and you must be prepared to be flexible, responsive, tactful and respectful in a busy working environment.
All support staff are part of a whole Trust team. They are required to support the values and ethos of the Trust. This will mean focusing on the needs of the young people, staff, parents/ carers and Trustees of the Trust and being flexible whilst prioritising workload and meeting deadlines in a busy pressurised environment.
Learn@ MAT specialises in working with young people who have either SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental Health) or SLCN (Speech and Language Communication Needs). The Trust offers a range of provision including day Academy and residential Academy places, short-break care and Alternative Education courses. It has a range of specialised Academies including a new “state of the art” purpose-built Academy in South Bristol; centrally based well-established sites in Central and East Bristol; and a charming country residential site in rural Wiltshire.
This post to cover maternity leave from 27 January 2020, for a period of 9 months, with the possibility of this cover extending to 12 months.
